The client specialises in recruitment for worldwide healthcare jobs and while they already had a website when they came to us, it was slightly outdated for the way it was being used. Any new jobs posted involved coding, which took time and quite specific technical experience, and with 1000’s of applicants viewing new positions the site itself had become slow to use and navigate around.
The client needed a site that was able to cope with the amount of traffic visiting, something that was fast to load, yet easy to update whenever a new job was posted. The business had two very distinct audiences – recruiters posting job descriptions and candidates uploading CVs and applying for positions – so the customer journey needed to be clear and consistent, with usability as simple and straight forward as possible.
With all these aspects taken into account we designed a new bespoke site from scratch. Using a WordPress feature called Gutenberg we created ‘blocks’ that could be reused across the site, to not only ensure consistency, but also keep good loading speeds. Job descriptions were now uploaded on to separate pages to make it easier to both add new positions frequently and share directly to social media.
Going forward the client was looking to ease the pressure for his team and have us maintain the site for them, as well as having any new content posted by us. We take care of this with a custom website maintenance plan, ensuring the site remains updated, secure and maintained.
Now the homepage immediately guides the audience to the relevant section for them. With the invitation to ‘upload a CV’ across the majority of pages, we grab attention and invite applications at every stage. New jobs are added and set live in a matter of minutes and can be filtered to candidate requirements. The site also now ranks highly for key words such as ‘paramedic jobs international’, ‘nurse jobs middle east’ and ‘international doctor vacancies’.
We continue to work with IMS Recruitment by providing maintenance for their website and adding new job listings for them on a monthly basis.
