Jack began in the world of web at the age of 14, self-taught in the art of design & development before undertaking work experience with an agency. Prior to website design, Jack proved an entrepreneurial nature from such a young age – previously buying clearance items, importing from overseas & then reselling on a popular online auction website.

Jack’s worked with a global social enterprise, national charity, schools and a local authority in various youth engagement & representation projects with a digital/social media focus. Jack is also a founding panel member for a £3 million community benefit fund in the North West.

Away from digital & community projects, Jack is a student paramedic, studying DipHE Paramedic Practice in Liverpool.

Right from the first meeting Jack completely understood the feel I was looking for with our new website. He was very easy to talk to and discuss ideas and took a jumble of information from me and turned it into a website I'm really proud of. The Past

Wattage Media follows the rebrand of Frodsham Web which was set-up by Jack in 2014 to assist local businesses with establishing a presence online at an affordable rate having been amazed by the large upfront costs and extortionate ongoing rates charged by others.

Firstly, he wanted to make the process simple for his clients, ensuring customer service was personable and of high standard. Secondly, create websites that looked great and most importantly, improved business for clients!

Word soon spread and Jack enjoyed retaining almost all his clients and winning new business on local referrals alone; growing the team to cope with demand.

The Present

Today, Wattage Media works with clients nationwide but with Jack studying in Liverpool, it’s perfectly suited for working with start-ups and small businesses within the North West. The business is unique by not having a permanent office, instead working remotely and using local co-working spaces. With this approach, we can not only pass on cost-efficiencies to our clients but are also flexible in our way of working; meaning we can meet & support our clients outside of the normal 9 – 5.

For all projects, Jack will be a single point of contact for our clients and it’s very likely that he’ll also be involved in the design and/or development. This personable approach is what makes Wattage your perfect ‘creative partner’, on hand to become involved with your marketing than simply deliver a task-based service.

A new way of working...

  The ‘agency’  
Ethos Don’t get us wrong, there’s some great agencies out there. There’s also some terrible ones! Typically, an agency will work for you. Our ethos is to ‘work with you, not for you’ because we want your feedback along the way and are adaptable to change.
Proposal Often they’ll have to create a proposal to accommodate a wide selection of overheads and can start in the £1000’s – £30,0000+ for a fairly standard brochure CMS website. Often proposals will include various costly extras that are unclear. With fewer overheads, we pass on the cost savings to provide affordable rates to our clients. With most web projects starting from £250 Our proposals provide transparent, fixed pricing with no hidden fees.
Staying in touch Most agencies work 9 – 5, Monday to Friday and even then, it can be slow to get answers to your queries. With multiple designers, developers, managers, receptionists etc plus staff leaving the business, communication can be difficult We hit the late night caffeine rather than the 9 -5 office watercooler! Our more flexible hours makes us more contactable and well suited to working with small businesses & start-ups. You’ll have a dedicated contact for all projects
